Selena Gomez, an actress and singer who is well-known internationally. Her involvement has included many projects, but the Disney Series Wizards of Waverly Place has been the most successful. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. The full title is Selena Marie. Her parents are Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Selena was the first child of her mother, who was just sixteen at the age of Selena. She was born in 2009 and Selena landed her first part in show business as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. This meant she was among many children to have played alongside Barney, the well-known anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena made an appearance in numerous episodes from seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 - 2003. Fun fact: Selena was not the only singer who worked on Barney and his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato also was part of the team that starred in the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for different shows and movies following the conclusion of Barney and Friends. Her auditions did not go well. In 2003, she had a minor role in Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over), and on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire as Julie. Also, she was offered the character of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2006 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
